The Osma family is native to the region of La Osma Riojana in Spain, where the Town of Osma also exists. The tomb of Saint Peter of Osma can be found in the Cathedral of this city. The Peruvian lineage of the family of Osma begins with Don Gaspar of Osma and Tricio. He graduated in laws and came to Peru between 1801 and 1804. He was an influential man with coveted work positions.

He married Doña Josefa Ramírez de Arellano and Baquijano. They had fourteen children; one of them, Mariano, married Francisca Pardo and Lavalle. One of their children was Pedro of Osma and Pardo, who married Angelica Gildemeister and Prado. They had two children, Angelica and Pedro of Osma Gildemeister.
Current Exhibition: Entre dos mundos by Malena Santillana
The Pedro de Osma Museum is pleased to announce the exhibition Entre Dos Mundos by Peruvian artist Malena Santillana that will be showing from the 10th of September to the 29th of September 2010 in the museum´s temporary art gallery. It will be open Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm and there will be no charge for entrance.
