Pedro of Osma Gildemeister

He was born in 4th May, 1901 and passed away the 18th September of 1967. The School of the Recoleta and the University of San Marcos, in its faculty of Laws, had him as a student.

Without a doubt, his great vocation was the arts, to that it dedicated all his life. In his house, without the pretensions to give it the character of a museum, Don Pedro hisself showed the important pieces of art that he acquired.

Pedro de Osma used to cross each room, stop before main works, explaining them and telling anecdotes.

His house was a meeting point when high dignitaries and important personages came to Peru. Numerous governments granted him hight merit distinctions.
